Solid tyre are made from hard rubber and provide the least maintenance of any wheelchair tyre. The drawback is that they have no cushioning effect and may be uncomfortable for the patient.
Ideally these tyres are suited to those who use a wheelchair on a mainly carpeted or smooth surface area (nursing home).
